Ashley was born in San Clemente, California on February 10, 1987. Ashley began surfing at the age of 5 prior to moving to Hawaii. She was the winner of her first surfing competition at the age six using a board that she found in the backyard of her house. She began surfing at the age of 5 and by the age of six, she had already won her first prize. At age seven, she was a sponsor. She was born San Clemente California and later relocated to Hawaii. Ashley was a participant in the NSSA National Championships at the age of sixteen. She was awarded the Triple Crown Rookie in 2003. Ashley also was a recipient of 2 National Scholastic Surfing Association titles and the Professional Surfing Tour of America. Ashley was the 2011 Pipeline Women's Pro winner in Hawaii. Ashley was ranked 60th in the Women's Qualification Series 2014. Anastasia Ashley posed for Sport's Illustrated and Maxim Magazine in 2014.
